What Is a Functional Test?
It's a test that measures the function of your body from more of a bird's eye view, not just what it looks like on paper. Functional testing can help you determine if your health issues can be addressed with a simple fix or whether supplements, lifestyle and/or dietary changes could be more beneficial for you.
How Do You Know Which Tests to Get?
Three primary functional tests that should be considered are the GI-MAP test, DUTCH Hormone Test, and thyroid testing: this group is what we used to call the "Big Three." Ordering all three comprehensive tests at once can give you a clear picture of how your entire body is operating and whether it's out of balance. Ultimately, when you've completed these tests you'll have a solid sense of what your gut health, hormones levels, and thyroid function look like (plus tons of other valuable insight) so that you can move forward with clarity.
